Production Manager

Hi, my name is Mohammed Abdullahi, and I work as a Production Manager on the Night Shift at Plukon.
I am responsible for slaughtering, cut-up and deboning, and I manage a large and diverse team. Working nights suits me well. I have experience with many different shifts and know how important rhythm is. What I enjoy most is working with people, developing talent and keeping a close eye on performance and continuous improvement. I see Plukon as a place where details matter and where people from many cultures truly work together.

Mohammeds workdayEvery night is different, but I always start with the numbersI start every night by checking the KPIs to see where the operation stands. From there, I follow up on ongoing projects and support the department leaders in slaughtering and in cut-up and deboning. 
I manage a team of around 125 employees, supported by two department leaders and their assistants. Besides the planned work, unexpected issues always come up, and that is what makes the job dynamic. For me, staying close to both the process and the people is key.
