Production employee
Noy is a production employee at our factory in Skovsgaard. She works as a floor worker on our frying line during the day shift and starts her day at 5:30 a.m. every morning.
What is a typical workday like for me?
I’m one of the first to arrive in the morning. I start by turning on the oven, the Teflon fryer, and the freezer together with a colleague. Then we bring out the products and prepare for frying. During the process, we have a lot of paperwork to complete, including quality checks and temperature logs. I’m mainly assigned to the frying line, where we produce fully cooked, ready-to-eat chicken products such as hot wings and fried chicken breast in slices, strips, or cubes. As a floor worker, my main responsibility during the workday is to supply my colleagues with the raw materials needed for production. But sometimes I also place fillets on the conveyor belt or take on other tasks in the production process.
What do I personally get out of the job?
I really enjoy the variety in my work. I’ve worked at the factory for over 21 years, and that means I can handle all types of tasks in the production line. Today, I primarily work as a floor worker. In that role, I work mostly on my own and manage my own tasks. Besides that, I help wherever I can and step in where an extra hand is needed on the line.
The most important reasons why I work at ROSE POULTRY?
When I came to Denmark in 1995, I first got a job at a fish factory. Then I had a few cleaning jobs before applying here as a holiday temp. I quickly got a permanent position on the day shift, and I liked the job so much that I’ve stayed ever since. There’s a great atmosphere here. I have some really good colleagues who are easy to talk to. We’ve worked together for many years and know each other very well. So we enjoy each other’s company, and that means a lot for my job satisfaction.
