Meet Mette
Demand planner
Mette is a Demand planner. She helps ensure the best possible forecast and delivery plan for our customers. She is also responsible for our 2-heart welfare chickens.
What tasks do I have at ROSE POULTRY?
I am a Demand planner. In the planning and logistics department, there are two of us, who have divided the customers between us. I am responsible for making the most accurate forecast possible in collaboration with our customers and sales. I am also responsible for our 2-heart welfare chickens; From which days slaughter is best suited to making a correct forecast. This also means that I contribute to the removal of raw materials.
As demand planners, we have a really good dialogue with our customers about everything that has to do with demand. We have a weekly meeting where we discuss different topics with our customers. I am also responsible for the forecast for our fried, chilled products and bacon. In addition, I update our focus list, where I check whether we have products in stock that we need to pay attention to due to age.

What makes my job exciting?
"What I think makes my job exciting is that I am part of a large team. All the different things we each have to deal with have a common goal."
ROSE POULTRY is also a place where you have a lot of balls in the air and things sometimes go fast, which helps to make my job exciting. In addition, I enjoy the contact with many different people. I especially collaborate a lot with production, planning, sales and our customers.
What is the best thing about my job?
I enjoy the tasks, as I get the opportunity to work both alone and with a lot of people.
It suits me really well that I can sit and immerse myself in some tasks one day, and the next day I can be with a lot of people. In addition, I find the dialogue with our customers exciting and then it ‘turns me on’ to have the most accurate forecast possible made for our planning and production departments. You are part of something common and we all have the same goals.
In addition, ROSE POULTRY is also a hybrid workplace. In my job, it is possible to work both from home and in the office. It is a big plus for me that I can stay at home on days when I need peace and quiet or have some tasks that might be best solved from home, and on other days I can come in and socialize and have a dialogue with my colleagues.
